Tara Panciotti, assistant director of nursing, at her graduation

Tara Panciotti, assistant director of nursing at Evergreen House Health Center in East Providence, Rhode Island, was recently named to the nursing advisory board at the Community College of Rhode Island.

Panciotti, a registered nurse, earned her associate’s degree in nursing at the college in May 2018.

"Tara was selected to serve on this board because of her notable long-term care experience, dedication to excellence in patient care and willingness to collaborate on future innovations in nursing,” said Suzanne Carr, interim dean of health and rehabilitative services at CCRI.

As a member of the board, Panciotti will bring her knowledge and experience in the field to help shape the college’s curriculum.

“I’m truly honored to represent the passion and art of long-term care nursing with this designation,” said Panciotti. “Our insight allows the school to adapt nursing education to fit the real-life needs of the patients the students will be serving.”

Panciotti is also certified in infection prevention and wound care and serves on Life Care Centers of America’s National Wound Council. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in nursing.
