On Sept. 17, 2016, Kayla Melo, activities assistant at Evergreen House Health Center in East Providence, Rhode Island, received the 2016 Rhode Island Health Care Association Team Spirit Award

The award was presented during the organization’s annual awards luncheon, held this year in Warwick. Although Melo was unable to attend the banquet because she was traveling, her facility team surprised her before she left and let her know about the award.
